This is another holster is based on an original 1880's Californian style holster, with back strap.   The strap is formed from the holster itself, and can fit a belt up to 3" in width.

It is made from approximately 3.4mm thick vegetable tanned leather, and the basic holster will fit a Colt .45 5.5" barrel.     There are other sizes available, and the holster can be worn as straight draw, or cross draw.   As a straight draw, it sits high on the belt, and if you need a more angled cross draw, just contact me with the changes you want.

The hand stamped pattern around the border of the holster, is in keeping with a period holster.   Not too much detail, but enough to give it a bit of a special look.

I have added a picture of a customer's personalised commission, to give you an idea of what can be done with the basic Slim Jim style.   He wanted a rig to reflect his reenactors name of Preacher Dan, but also have a simple look.   I think these hand carved holsters and belt fill the role perfectly.
